While the original instrument was a wonder to use, we always find ways to innovate and improve. When you need something with that extra special character the Arp 2600 is the one to go for. The Arp 2600 is a workhorse that can deliver everything from clean leads and sequences to crazy sound effects. From the sound of the 3 oscillators to the original 'Gray face' filter to the vast modulation routing abilities. The Arp 2600 was an iconic sound and Arturia has been faithful in recreating this amazing synthesizer. With a unique combination of semi-modular architecture and fixed preset routing, it gave it the place of being one of the most versatile synths of the 1970's. TX16Wx does not come in an FX version, so that is apparently the difference regarding Sonar's routing. With its sound palette varying from heavy drum n' bass stabs to angular arpeggiated electro bass lines, whatever your chosen genre, the 2600 is a truly versatile sound creation tool which still takes its place at the heart of today's music. I have a VST instrument, TX16Wx, that can accept an audio input for sample recording, but so far I can only get this to work in Reaper. I did find that Reaper is a bit more flexible about signal routing in this regard. Does Arturia include an FX version of the plugin? This would be the ideal solution. But the VST instruments that I have worked with in Sonar only allow for a MIDI input. Some VST's have a separate FX version that can be inserted as an audio effect with an audio input. In my experience, Sonar does not provide for audio input to a VSTi. Other ideas? Any help would be appreciated? Thanks! I've tried inserting an additional Midi Track and inserting it as an Effect in the FX Bin. I have an audio track with a vocal part and would like to try this out, but I can't seem to figure out how to run the audio into the synth. Mikebeam I just bought the Arturia V Collection and notice that it has the functionality of using some of the synths as an effect and you can run external inputs into it.
